This moment is locked into my memory as something rather special... I was with a partner at the time who had an adventurous, spur of the moment spirit... It was nothing to suddenly pack our bags on a Friday night after work and escape to the Blue Mountains for the weekend...This particular Saturday night, no one in their right mind should have been out...It was a vicious storm, with lots of thunder and lightning and belting rain...But we were, wandering rain-washed streets in Katoomba...We could hear a tinkling of sorts between thunderclaps and tried to locate the sound...That is when we discovered the bookshop...door closed but lights on... The man inside was playing a grand piano...He waved us in...So in we went...The man just kept playing, saying nothing...We wandered looking at the books for a bit, then settled on the old wooden stairs leading, we presumed, up to more books...We sat on the stairs awhile, and just listened to the man playing Mozart and other works...while the thunder and lightning played along with him...I can't remember just how it all ended...But I do know when we eventually emerged from the shop, the storm had abated, but we could still hear all the music echoing in the darkness...More details on this special moment are on my blog:https://t.co/jzUDZbUReh— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) June 6, 2020

Welcome to 2020 (and beyond we hope)...the year the world overturned with covid-19. This blog is intended to be an insight into my experiences this year - being wary of infection, but learning to live - see, think, wonder - differently. If you choose to comment, be supportive please. Thank you. Be safe. Namaste.
