hangover of choice...

One bookshop experience I will never forget is my time spent at Berkelouw's Book Barn, Berrima Default_004   Default_009 on the south coast of New South Wales.  Many holidays involved a necessary visit there. The bookshop was in the midst of fields...You could park your car and not be surprised to find a cow watching you right outside, (on Bendooley Estate). The bookshop was like a huge rambling ranch style house with a loft. (Since those days, it has now been upgraded to include a cafe.) I loved to visit Berkelouw's in winter. An armchair and the cosy roaring log fire was the place to settle while you browsed your book selection. And yes...the myriad scents of pre-loved books permeated everywhere...

Welcome to 2020 (and beyond we hope)...the year the world overturned with covid-19. This blog is intended to be an insight into my experiences this year - being wary of infection, but learning to live - see, think, wonder - differently. If you choose to comment, be supportive please. Thank you. Be safe. Namaste.
