The old Coles Book Arcade site on Bourke Street is today occupied by David Jones.Cole's Book Arcade - such a Melbourne legend...Cole expanded the Book Arcade until the mid-1910s, when it had 16 departments. The glass-topped arcade through to Collins Street was also sold but preserved; renamed Howey Street, present-day, it is home to a little strip of upmarket shops and cafes.
