pebble question...

molasses and frost...

harvesting pecans...

a Queensland sunset...

sunset over countryside...

emu eggs...

old Amos again...

I feel shades of Henry Lawson in these stories...but only shades...the yarn spinning shades...But the main difference is that these stories of old Amos are grounded in that limbo reality between yesterday and today...

slate...

This post is intriguing...so much slate preserving so much of time...

beach patterns...

I like the mix of foam-topped waves and troughs of melted foam...

walking a winter beach...

ancient mariner...

Moby Dick could very easily be the universal ancient mariner...

yellow bottlebrush...

I love seeking out winter flowers...It is interesting to see what colours favour winter... There seems to be a dominance of yellow and a pale lime green...I think they are called hellebore...Haven't seen too many in Melbourne, but saw quite a few in Tasmania...

weeping colour...

So much of this weeping colour along the foreshore at this time of year...lovely contrast with the greens...

walking the foreshore trail...

A hint at what could be happening...There was no trace of loud voices...

art of bees...

And the petals create a labyrinth of twisting and turning passages...

watchers...

Ever since this apricot tree became leafless, these little ones like to greet the morning with a bird's eye view...

skeins...

waves at play...

In this lockdown time...I am fortunate that Dromana beach is just across the road from the small Dromana Hub shopping centre...A trip to the beach is my reward after the dreaded grocery shopping...

galah pinks...

Rarely do galahs stop by my verandah...even though many visit in passing...I was thrilled with the visit of this one...even if the moment was brief...
