Sometimes the senses will the ghosts of seasons past to take shape and meaning, in an attempt to ground and verify our own meaning...

smelling the past...
Is that all there is?...
A disturbing image...The young girl leaning forward on a broken link seems to symbolise numb shock+a question...'Is that all there is?...Keep dancing?

Melbourne cityscape skyline...
Melbourne is rather creative in her presentation of a palette of urban blues... positive blues... Beautiful cityscape perspective courtesy of a stunning sky... https://t.co/RsH5qwo1p3

Hoppy...the lame kookaburra...
Also appearing on my verandah today, Hoppy - a loved little kookaburra. Hoppy is lame...(You can see the slightly lifted foot - right of the photo.) I didn't expect a very young Hoppy to last...Hoppy was an outcast in the kookaburra world. Always alone. But that was 4 years ago. pic.twitter.com/VBrvDgTcjh

Dame Joan Sutherland...
10 years ago today, legendary Australian opera singer, Dame Joan Sutherland (1926-2010), passed away. Last August, The Australian Performing Arts Collection (APAC) unveiled a digital showcase celebrating her iconic garments. https://t.co/yvaddT4GSA pic.twitter.com/wdiovgNsmn

spring house...
Checked meaning of a spring house... A small building over a spring + an older method of refrigeration. It kept milk, eggs and produce cool throughout the year, + kept produce safe from animals. Cream for butter making was kept cool and sweet in the spring house water. https://t.co/IuMeRV6R56

choices... abandoned...
PASSING THOUGHT: Always believed we would take the long road out to waving grasses, mountains and big skies...But you chose to stay in the urban theatre of passing parades and footlights...

back to Sarum...
Page 761 continues...'he rebuilt the kitchen with a stone vaulted ceiling and two huge fires set in the walls. But though some of the richer landowners were building fine stone halls on the ground level of their houses, he stuck conservatively to the old Norman hall on the upper floor with its narrow windows.'It did for my grandfather,' he stated with finality.'➡️'Sarum'-Gilbert regretted he had not fought at Crecy. The profits would have been used at Avonsford. For his mind seldom left the manor now. He made some modest improvements: he installed a bathroom with a large wooden tub which the maidservant filled with hot water once a week

saving the planet...
THIS is what I would call a success story. A 'saving the planet' story. Every little effort truly matters. It's simple... feel the need and act... https://t.co/RLvMlzMYFR

origin of my love of nature...
My love of the wild outdoors is thanks to my Dad. Our family wasn't poor, but we didn't have much money to throw around. We lived in an emerging estate. But we could walk down the end of our road to bushland. My Dad's Saturday morning ritual was to walk my brother and I there.

wooden giants...
Thomas Dambo - During the summer of 2020, I’m hiding 10 new troll sculptures in secret locations around Denmark, in a giant sculpture treasure hunt. The project is called “The Journey to The Giant Troldefolkefest”Amazing creativity. Recycled pallets, fences and anything wood. Volunteers are welcome to help create them. And children (or adults) are welcome to climb them. Each sculpture has a sign directing the curious to where the next sculpture can be found...Long live creative invention! https://t.co/sbzvy8qr6c pic.twitter.com/QvK2Ia8yZO
