History of the Pink Roadhouse HERE - The pink part of the name is associated with a 1969 Dodge Phoenix. The Oodnadatta Track in South Australia is far more than 600km of dirt. Along the way is a welcoming Pink Roadhouse.— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 25, 2020

Connecting moments in my peninsula world, my Australia and beyond...Whatever speaks to my thalassophile soul in these tidal days...

Oodnadatta Track...
albatross...
I have just learnt that an albatross can live up to 60 years...Incredible, when you think that they spend most of life flying...You know the waves must be getting big when you have to look upwards to photograph an albatross sitting on the water! (Shy Albatross in heavy seas off Eden in 2016). #seabirds #WildOz #SeabirdSaturday pic.twitter.com/t003zgPGlv— Leo (@leo_qbn) May 23, 2020

A feature? A talking point? This is the quality content I am here for. https://t.co/ZTzhoGXN8R— Ann Jones (@jones_ann) May 24, 2020
ringtail possum circus...
These guys are so amazingly agile...The ringtail circus definitely features rather impressive acrobats...Love it... https://t.co/5Xdca7Sd64— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 25, 2020
rain in the desert...
Enjoyed every precious minute of this... I could feel the desert spaces blessed with rain...Wonderful...This is 1 hour worth of bliss. And extra special...if you want to learn what birds are joining the music of rain, there is a neat little list of times identifying the birds heard at that point...Very clever... https://t.co/AY2upg1Gd7— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 25, 2020
despotic rainstorm...
Love the free-wheeling spins of waves in stormy weather...despotic— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 25, 2020

walking the poetry tight rope...
Poetry publishing is a minefield of challenges...Not really the hip end of public appeal...but even at the niche end, there are still niches within niches... But I keep coming back...Love it...And don't get me started on walking the poetry tight rope...That's a niche market... perhaps the boutique end of writing...the corner shop... the 'maybe-maybe-not' place...And I too am working on it...— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 25, 2020
I fall into a special category of writers... I have had a life (since I was a child) of winning competitions for short stories and writing poetry...And still I have really gone nowhere...Gotta batter down the door of publishers methinks... Being noticed is a dream going nowhere.. https://t.co/fEataJ3nJX— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 25, 2020

Week 7 remote learning...
PASSING THOUGHT: All that careful planning of how to break up my PD meetings went out the window. 1/2 the intended marking was done, but I am sure I answered at least 30 urgent emails...possibly more...But who's counting...I'm working on calling this a positive, productive day...— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 25, 2020
