baby ringtail possum...

On the way to supermarket shopping, found a curled-up baby possum right next to my front path. Not a place for baby possums. Rang Wires for advice + neighbour took baby to the vet. My address recorded so they'll return baby to home territory...Hope the little one is OK... pic.twitter.com/XBtxtinHri

Thank goodness I was scraping off leaves from my front path with my foot (as I usually do when I go out)...The little head popped up, much to my surprise...I would never have noticed unless the little one moved... pic.twitter.com/uXY3lNclM6

UPDATE: Just had a call from the vet...Possum warmed up (cold) and fed - mainly dehydrated...is OK and is currently being transported to a carer...Possum should be now OK to be returned here in about a week...Such amazing good news...
