SBS Insight tonight alerted me to this amazing annual event. The super generation of Monarchs manage the journey south to Mexico's highlands, but those who travel back last 5-7 weeks = 4-5 generations...

Further investigation of this image - found to be endemic to Maui. It is known as Haleakala Silversword. A website states it is a protected plant in Hawaii. This very image and more details: https://t.co/kKcQaU5Ggz
