Dust to wetlands at the foot of the Serra Ranges in the Grampians, Victoria.

Small environmental organisation-Nature Glenelg Trust- bought a 1,035-acre blue-gum plantation, stripped it of trees, allowed it to flood, and transformed it back into wetlands.https://t.co/iPSLIYBmkh pic.twitter.com/cZUMVdjXED
Connecting moments in my peninsula world, my Australia and beyond...Whatever speaks to my thalassophile soul in these tidal days...

inviting wetlands, trees and ducks...
I took heed of my fresh smile this morning, did the grocery shopping (yeah!) + rewarded myself by taking a walk with trees...(within 5km+my lockdown allotted 1 hour, of course). Boundary Road's tiny wetlands never seemed so inviting... pic.twitter.com/Axhj1G0kgd

Trees seemed so eager and proud to reach the blue sky above... pic.twitter.com/LFWiR2WMit

At times, the trees seemed to be holding a celebration corroboree... pic.twitter.com/doT5sO14Wv

The shadows of trees enjoyed a special place too... pic.twitter.com/q3MaZm4lN7

Commendable mention must be made of trees with unusual character... not exactly fitting the beauty mould... perhaps rebels... and so fascinating... This one seemed to be reaching out, intending to borrow a leaf or too?... pic.twitter.com/BMaeIsVmQQ

In spite of the recent heavy winds and rains in Melbourne, wetland flowers resisted being 'lost' and shone beautifully in the morning sunlight... pic.twitter.com/Pw7kUAGKdl

And the Hillview Community Reserve wetlands looked so calm this morning...Inspiring... pic.twitter.com/Fvz5IC6USG

Meanwhile, back home, not to be forgotten, my erstwhile new friends, the ducks, were taking a morning stroll along the road...and they brought a friend today... pic.twitter.com/FKiqJfj3RN

a wetlands morning...
Wonderful to open Melbourne weekend with some real sun... My one-hour walk possibility now seemed appealing...I chose Dromana's Hillcrest Community Reserve wetlands...within my allowed 5km radius...It's been awhile...Reflections seemed so symbolic of days then + days now... pic.twitter.com/OkHV9IcNYn

The joy of seeing sunlight and shadow over a walkway by Hillcrest Community Reserve wetlands really touched me...The wetlands precinct may only be small, but small is better than nothing at all... pic.twitter.com/BXRntrxrad

So lovely being able to stand on rocks and view shadows and reflections at play in the Hillcrest Community Reserve wetlands this morning... pic.twitter.com/Lmpr7TzO30

I wasn't the only one enjoying some time outdoors this morning at Hillcrest Community Reserve wetlands...This little one was clearly loving the outside world...but his owner was close by, just wandering, and keeping an eye on him... pic.twitter.com/91ec17ploO

Across the road from the wetlands is a tiny community of shops...all with interesting styles...On the roof of one is this... pic.twitter.com/m2VDty4MZJ

On the drive home, I couldn't resist stopping for a minute to capture the beautiful morning light shining through the leaves of a roadside plant... pic.twitter.com/NYWcMByqci
