I'm a very poor inhabitant of the Mornington Peninsula. Yes. I have a view. But I'm a lowly renter in a very old + humble, small house. I am not alone. There are many of us scattered around here.
Soon, I won't be a peninsula renter but a countryside renter - probably even lower.

new worlds ahead...

By the time a few months of 2022 pass, I hope to be doing just what you are doing. I'll have retired, moved to country life + out and about with my camera. The only difference will be I'll use a hand-held camera...not camera gear. You inspire me to keep dreaming of new worlds...

PASSING THOUGHT: I had a fear of high rises, major sport+concert events, pubs, tourist hot spots+summer-crowded beaches...But sometimes I braved one or two (mainly the last 2). That was pre-covid. Now, I don't even consider one, opting for ex-city, country life space very soon...

patriotism and multiculturalism...

PASSING THOUGHT:
If we only serve the godhead patriotism, we alienate multiculturalism.
If we focus on multiculturalism, we lose the organising power of patriotism.
Perhaps if we focus on caring for country + people, we have a mediator.
Is it time to ditch patriotism's ugly side?
