So the humble onion could have secret star status... Another thought for the morrow... https://t.co/Foq1THoEFI— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 2, 2020

power of the onion...
according to Goose...
I'll wake in the morning to this last post on my profile...I promise to smile... https://t.co/6yoUPdnhXt— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 2, 2020
a birthday...
*today is my father's birthday...*
My posts today cover topics I know he would like...
trees and wild places - every Saturday - he always took my younger brother and me for walks through bushland, just down the end of our street - the area now Western Sydney.
He taught us to value Nature...
learning - he valued every opportunity to learn, always reading about the sciences, new discoveries...
music? - I don't really know... Perhaps I was too young to know...But I am guessing, by his interests, that he would love exploring sounds as do I...
a creator - a self-taught gardener and lover of making 'something from nothing' - esp woods
The bookshelf above he made for me when I was in primary school...
I loved it and still do...
It is made from packing cases...
(The other image below is of a stand he made for my mother...)
he valued his own company - the Emily Dickinson connection...
Sadly, I know little more of my father...
He passed away when I was barely 12, just starting high school...
But I feel that I am very much a product of him...
My father lives on...in me...
*A very happy birthday, dad...*
Kimberley magic...
Usually we think of earthy colours as soft and blending brown-greens...But these gorgeous, stark, earthy contrasts overturn that view...Sharply rising, jagged, sandy-orange rock frilled in greens...Just magical... https://t.co/idk80YWITK— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 2, 2020
music of bees...
Great example of bringing Nature's music to life...Amazing..https://t.co/R27iQfyHUP https://t.co/x0d8BB3pvL— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 2, 2020
an invisible force and wonder...
Love the wave of the leaves...as if some sign of 'keep going'... And the force? The force seems to have a special task for me...'No matter how busy you are, you MUST write - for your mental health...' So far, I am following orders in ridiculous obeyance...— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 2, 2020
my first love...

and sparks of lightning bolts
proclaimed a parade
of bliss and heartache and dreams of
never losing my first love#MayTanka #NaTankaMo
The Communion...
'The Communion' - J.R.Slattum
I feel that I have found an exciting journey with this artist...
Trees are mostly leafless
and misty clouds hang low in many paintings...
It is as if the landscape has been left pruned back after some chaos...
and this is a visual of a waiting time...
waiting for the next step...
the next move
the next ...?
The Fire Within the Flames...
'The Fire Within the Flames' - J.R.Slattum
From his website: " Art is a doorway, not just a window. You travel into it, bringing back souvenirs "
From his Facebook page HERE:
"His subjects gravitate towards anything that may answer those great philosophical Why's of The Universe, from science and quantum physics to metaphysics, mythology to psychedelics."
Beltane Blessings...
O the eyes... the eyes... so focused...ahead...Love it... https://t.co/SAlHA9M5PC— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 1, 2020
in praise of history and philosophy...
I am far from famous... But I have proven with secondary students that encouraging a view of global past and present history inspires an urge to dig into a little philosophy quite painlessly. Students can become quite enthusiastic about exploring beyond Playstation and Snapchat. https://t.co/ooSZLU5Beh— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 1, 2020
to mask or not to mask...
The wearing/not wearing masks debate certainly seems to have unstable evidence for both sides. However, I have yet to find an article that considers 'kinds of masks'. Is there a difference between cloth, surgical and even industry masks? One more effective than the other?— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 1, 2020
