Connecting moments in my peninsula world, my Australia and beyond...Whatever speaks to my thalassophile soul in these tidal days...

Saturday...a fallen baby ringtail possum...
Sunday...my furball seemed out of sorts...not eating...hid outside...unusual...(Today very quiet but accepting comfort)...
Monday - daddy long legs inside my window...carried gingerly outside...
The daddy long legs seems to have survived a change of venue...

He seems to be enjoying his 'mountain top' view in the garden - after starting on the ground... pic.twitter.com/Oj5bIMIxiK
Of course, I should have called this beautiful creature a praying mantis... He just seemed so long...and, in the heat of the moment, the mind made an association slip... pic.twitter.com/UOMY3fm0NG

pink robin...
'The robin is the one— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) April 13, 2020
That speechless from her nest
Submits that home and certainty
And sanctity are best.' - Emily Dickinson
The poem refers to the red robin, but the lines capture beautifully the elusive, the private nature of the pink robin that I only saw once - in Tassie https://t.co/Mqwvc18GRE
Shaddie needs 'time out'...
Easter Monday morning...
and Shaddie needs some 'time out'...
even if it's a brief walk on the verandah railing...
And even though the light is a misty grey
I don't mind a breath or two of the world outside
before launching into some 'must do' chores...
cleaning out the cat litter box
washing my hair
and school programming...
but perhaps a little reading of 'World Without End' may slip in there somewhere...
just while my hair is drying...
