The Barney Rubble Bond (BRB)

Connecting moments in my peninsula world, my Australia and beyond...Whatever speaks to my thalassophile soul in these tidal days...

Barney...
Vic school closures up to October 21...
This is very disturbing news...Closures all round my school in the Casey region...
— Gemma Wiseman - on Bunurong land, Kulin Nation (@AuraGem) October 24, 2021
ALSO - Bittern Primary School was closed on Friday October 15 + Red Hill Consolidated School was closed on Wednesday October 20 + Mornington Secondary College was closed on Friday, October 22, so that means covid-19 is certainly round my Mornington Peninsula...
climate change advisory committee?...
I frankly don't understand why a climate change committee, in an advisory capacity to the government, has not been established. That committee = a range of leaders representing their 'green energy' fields. Surely that would be a professional way to shape a political response.
— Gemma Wiseman - on Bunurong land, Kulin Nation (@AuraGem) October 24, 2021
It only took a Google search to find a list of significant Australian leaders who could be on that committee...https://t.co/kFXdYBNKWU

A pool of their ideas could be a way forward...

SBS only...
It's SBS and only SBS for me these days...I don't change the channel...That includes programmes beyond the news...The majority...bar a couple...are informative and entertaining...Not a bad average when there's far far worse out there in the channels...
— Gemma Wiseman - on Bunurong land, Kulin Nation (@AuraGem) October 24, 2021
I guess I am getting practised at reading the subtitles/captions fast...That doesn't bother me...(Love the late-night offerings)...Yes...SBS on Demand is great for missed programmes too...
— Gemma Wiseman - on Bunurong land, Kulin Nation (@AuraGem) October 24, 2021
slowly...slowly...
I have stayed in all weekend, fearing lockdown crowds on my peninsula. But I will be creeping out early tomorrow morning to top up groceries. Hopefully, the 'weekend escape' crowds have gone by then. No way am I rushing out to join the world just yet.

inspiration from the humble and small...
Sometimes, it is the humble, very small, ordinary elements in this world that inspire the imagination... pic.twitter.com/HZpGxMug1v

I seem to be into Waiting for Godot moments today...

Amazing what shadows on a panel of weathered verandah wood can suggest... pic.twitter.com/V4ZtuwFwoh
From this point of view, my Waiting for Godot moment (in the last post) seems to be hanging in space...

Yes...my imagination is more than a bit 'out there' this morning...
On the flip side, it could be called the leering profile of procrastination... pic.twitter.com/CyX9JctzKw
