exams cancelled under lockdown...

PASSING THOUGHT: Lockdown update - My school, late this afternoon, cancelled all Years 7-10 exams (due to be done next week). I expect my Year 10 English will convert into a single summative task due end of term + submitted online. Marking 5 large classes in a short time is 😒

a walk at dusk...

Often, especially in the winter time,
I like to go for a walk at dusk.
Everything is gentle.

From the houses come dollops of sound, smell, colour
and life.

And in the softness of it all
I see my mother once more,

caught between day and night,
smiling at me in the easy light.
