PASSING THOUGHT: I think I'll blow out the candles, take my roadmap sadness to my pillow and let the song of gentle rain on the roof soothe me to sleep. May the universe bless us all with renewed hope, renewed courage in all the new tomorrows to come... pic.twitter.com/xd26AG0eOf

ABBA...'Don't Shut Me Down'...
And now you see another me, I've been reloaded, yeahMy musical taste may be downgraded a little with this call, but the new ABBA release is simply incredible...

Have to give to these guys, they know how to turn a song into a dramatic connection with the fibres of life itself...

While I may imply that I'm an ABBA fan, in actual fact, I'm not. To me, they're the 'Ken+Barbie dolls' of the music world. For those who need some 'sugar-coated' reality, they're healers. But ABBA's tenacious 'reinvention journey' (think 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert')=WOW👏👏👏

P.S. But I've always loved 'Fernando'...

'There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, Fernando...'

Victoria's Road Map to Christmas...
Melbourne’s Lockdown will end October 26 @abcmelbourne #springst
— Bridget Rollason (@bridgerollo) September 19, 2021
Victoria expected to hit its peak of 1400-2900 daily cases (7-day average) between 19-31 October.
— Bridget Rollason (@bridgerollo) September 19, 2021
A second peak expected over mid-December.@abcmelbourne #springst
some big numbers on deaths and cases under Victoria's reopening roadmap, as modelled by the Burnet Institute
— Josh Butler (@JoshButler) September 19, 2021
even *maintaining* VIC's current lockdown restrictions could see daily cases grow to 1900 within a month, Burnet sayshttps://t.co/ioKwYc5wH8 pic.twitter.com/Wex8ezJYQg
Hope+despair...tears+relief...a melting pot of 'I dunno's'...But I'm a high school teacher staring at the next nightmare of re-adjusting lessons to a staggered return to school...I think I'd better try to use this holiday break well+cultivate some super energy to keep going...
— Gemma Wiseman - on Bunurong land, Kulin Nation (@AuraGem) September 19, 2021Lots of faith here in Dan Andrews too. Even the tone of his voice is reassuring. As for chocolate, I am kidding myself along that chocolate-covered caramels, (Cadbury Pascal), are not so bad as a large block of chocolate. Just don't ask how long it takes me to eat a bag of them.

I can't believe it...The presser started at about 12:30pm and ended at 2:24pm...Just on 2 hours...(Poor Dan...The tough just keep marching the tough road)...At least most of the journalists' questions were a little more informed and respectful than usual...That was a pleasant surprise...
love little street libraries...esp under trees...
Built this one for my neighbourhood the Okanagan Valley BC at the start of the pandemic...so popular I had to add another cabinet on the bottom...lots of great reads pic.twitter.com/N4Y2YVq50C

O if only my school break could be an escape to somewhere - near water, near trees...
At least I can dream...

story of an Ancient Roman gold ring...
What a fascinating story to brighten a rather dull Sunday morning...
— Gemma Wiseman - on Bunurong land, Kulin Nation (@AuraGem) September 18, 2021
A gold ring from Ancient Rome links a pagan and a Christian + possibly J.R.R.Tolkien and 'Lord of the Rings'...
Indeed, there is even a curse...
Love to find a bristling story stranger than mere fiction... https://t.co/f8QJ1QGner
sunshiny yellow...
Some sunshiny yellow on a grey, drizzly, windy and cold day is always most welcome... https://t.co/gDWozVjyy9

trail of light by the dark trail...
Love the luminous trail of light comfortably moving along by the side of the 'dark trail'...And both seeming to reflect on their valid place in life...Beautiful...

school...
"whatever mark Boot Collins got, well, that's the mark I got boy, if you know what I mean."
— Tim Mallon (@PatMalo85776814) September 18, 2021
I said, I think I know what you mean there Amos.
and he looked at me with his pale eyes and said, "school weren't for me boy, all's I wanted was the bush..."
2/3
As school holidays begin, it's so lovely to see the appearance of Old Amos as he reflects on what school meant/means for him...Indeed, 'school' is really a fluid term beyond formal classrooms+curriculum...It can be wherever you feel comfortable learning...any place...any time...
