Today, I saw the vague reflection of a white ceiling fan in a white formica table.

It was whirring and pulsing; pale and indistinct above my left elbow, which cupped my tired chin and jaw.

I strained my eyes to hear it talking to me, and I heard old Amos on its blunt blades...
