NOTE: I took this photo in November 2019. The 'new look' is supposed to involve a cafe + boat and paddleboard? hire...It still hasn't happened... Blame covid-19????

old stables and coach house...

Coolart is an amazing place to wander at Somers on the Mornington Peninsula.
It was a working farm property from the late 19th century to the 1970's.
This huge property is testament to colonial settlement farming life... even if only a glimpse.
Wander beyond the farm focus, and there are some incredible bird hides by the side of wetlands...Great to watch nesting birds in the spring...
And then you can even walk to a nearby beach on the fringe of the property...past small wetlands and grazing cows...

in Li Po's world...

Li Po was a Chinese poet of the Tang Dynasty. He wrote occasional verse and poems about his own life. His poetry is known for its clear imagery and conversational tone. His work influenced a number of 20th-century poets, including Ezra Pound and James Wright. Source: Poetry Foundation

Found an interesting perfume that interprets one particular cactus flower...
Also known as the Queen of the Night, this fragrance interprets the highly transient night flowering cactus Selenicereus Grandiflorus. Collaborating with the iconic Bertrand Duchaufour, this special scent captures the orchid cactus - native to Central America, only flowering once a year. The blooms open at night and only last a couple of hours, it is incredibly beautiful and is rumoured to powerfully ignite passions, then, by sunrise, the flowers have been spent.
