PASSING THOUGHT: Apart from my packing saga, I've had multiple other quirky hurdles. Latest = my auto car key suddenly decides it won't work after sleeping all night. During the day=OK. (Problem began after car washed/polished/vacuumed)...

PASSING THOUGHT: Unexpected hassles re voting. I move interstate on 19th April from Victoria to NSW. Need ID proof with licence (Victorian) to do postal from/to new address. Deadline to register postal seems to be 26th April. Also, need 1 month at new address. What to do????

my teaching doors closed today...

PASSING THOUGHT: My teaching doors closed today. It was Athletics Carnival on final day of Term 1. My job was to hand ribbons to place getters. Many precious moments; many told of favourite lessons.
But the best came at day's end. 7 students asked me to tell them one more story.

PASSING THOUGHT: Just home from my last appointment with my doctor this morning...Flu injection done...Paperwork for new doctor in hand...6 months of scripts to take to Chemist Warehouse...
Doc was thrilled with my gift...
I was there for half an hour
and he charged nothing🙏...

My dentist yesterday was chatting before she started and asked how my partner was. I burst into tears. She touched my shoulder and informed me that she's actually a trained counsellor. Plus, she's been through this too. So cool that my dental care came with bonus counselling 😀

PASSING THOUGHT: I know #Centrelink rarely gets a good rap. I've just spent 2 hours there sorting retirement. I expected utter agony. Instead, a very helpful assistant guided me through the MyGov minefield...(mainly my interstate move causes the issues)...

It now seems that each stage=a separate career path, a separate personal journey.
