PASSING THOUGHT: I wonder when the nightly TV news' top/1st story - usually extended - is not all about the latest covid data...both at home and abroad...

I know...It's on the top shelf of questions in everyone's mind, but some occasional anxiety relief could be most welcome...

Australian government agenda...
BUT BUT...All those suggestions are so sensible...so logical...That is not the way of the Australian government...This government cuts through the national obvious benefits+favours the select 'in crowd'.. at least, those select for now... till they too may face the trash can...

We thank everyone who got vaccinated and tested yesterday.
Our thoughts are with those in hospital, and the families of people who have lost their lives.

NSW #COVID19 update – Sunday 2 January 2022
— NSW Health (@NSWHealth) January 1, 2022
In the 24-hour reporting period to 8pm last night:
- 95% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 93.6% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine pic.twitter.com/Rdrsv5lGq1
navigating the booster chaos...
Thanks to a Twitter post, I managed to get a chemist appointment 21st January-4 months after 2nd AZ vaccine exactly. Far better than my original 7th March doctor's appointment. But holding the latter till I actually attend the earlier appointment - just in case of supply issues.

Melbourne weather prologue to 2022...
Hoping your New Year is a time of steadily and safely moving forward, finding some happiness along the way.
— Gemma Wiseman - on Bunurong land, Kulin Nation (@AuraGem) January 1, 2022
Yes...It was a sweltering New Year's Eve and New Year's Day had just a smidgeon of improvement...
But today we have been blessed with some odd showers of cooling rain...

New Year spiel...
Usually, I loathe the yaddayadda of New Year's sales pitches...But Mark has nailed one New Year sale spiel I could quite happily put on loop...even letting it roll through January as a booster so to speak...

Brilliant Mark 👏👏👏...
You have sold me...👏👏👏
a lunchbox boast...
I just wonder how in any way this personal SM boast appeals to any particular audience - the income strapped, the hungry for either food or leadership...
— Gemma Wiseman - on Bunurong land, Kulin Nation (@AuraGem) January 1, 2022
I even imagine that his 'mates' could be unimpressed?...
Nope...It's just all about he who is king in his own lunchbox...
'thrive' - my personal word for 2022...
PASSING THOUGHT: Often, when a New Year begins, I like to think of a word for my personal incoming year. Immediately, I thought of the word 'survive'. But that has tones of being a defeatist. So I have opted for the word 'thrive' for 2022 - with just a few hints of 'survive'... pic.twitter.com/U6GJDQOrxl
