Melbourne Cup afternoon and it's currently a sunny 31 degrees C in Dromana... I can't believe the glory of this day. My orange rose has opened right up to enjoy the moment. pic.twitter.com/bhCjsx9Q3f

Connecting moments in my peninsula world, my Australia and beyond...Whatever speaks to my thalassophile soul in these tidal days...

Another striking view of storm in southeast Queensland last weekend...The melee of vertical and horizontal sharp streams of light are simply amazing... https://t.co/SCDo9rNkiP

Melbourne Cup and beach crowds...
Even though it's Melbourne Cup day, the beach crowds are expected to flock to the beaches... It's sunny with wisps of cloud... It's a warm 21 degrees @ 9:30am and rising... + crowds are not welcome to the 2020 cup... https://t.co/W6sGPEdK2I

spring zing...
PASSING THOUGHT: There's a beautiful zing in this spring morning. Global doom seems remote+procrastination-my pandemic specialty-is definitely high on the temptation list. Too anxious to emerge from home this Melbourne Cup day, so I'll celebrate with 'Sarum' on my sunny verandah.

outback Tilpa...
Love outback surprises. I've found Tilpa, on the Darling River NSW. Only place in Australia to have a Boer War memorial including a commemorative to Harry (The Breaker) Morant + cemetery has no one in it. The 100-year-old only pub welcomes traveller's graffiti.
