I'm a very poor inhabitant of the Mornington Peninsula. Yes. I have a view. But I'm a lowly renter in a very old + humble, small house. I am not alone. There are many of us scattered around here.
Soon, I won't be a peninsula renter but a countryside renter - probably even lower.

PASSING THOUGHT: There's been quite a strange stream of small plane + helicopter flyovers this morning on the Mornington Peninsula...
Yes...There is a small airport nearby at Tyabb, but I've never experienced this 'traffic' except when Portsea Polo is scheduled each January...

PASSING THOUGHT: Feeling more than a bit creeped out and very very thankful. Our pseudo PM was in Mount Eliza today at Coco's hairdressing salon washing the hair of an apprentice. Mount Eliza is not far from my Dromana home. So so glad I was at school and missed the performance.

And a friend told me yesterday that main arteries from Melbourne to the Mornington Peninsula had checkpoints...She couldn't understand the heavy traffic on the freeway I claimed + added that perhaps it was really the MP residents moving around...Really? Via the freeway?

PASSING THOUGHT: While geographically it seems unfair to include the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne lockdown, there's more to the story. The MP's an escape, a scenic magnet to exhausted Melburnians. Holiday houses+motels=mere c.1 hr away=temptation+high risk. Keep MP metro...
