quarantine at Point Nepean...

OK here...Teaching plans changed AGAIN...a pain...But I ask, why hasn't the fed govt considered Point Nepean as a federal quarantine station? It's been used before...Lots of space...Security can be housed there...separate from Melbourne...Used early history...Greg Hunt knows😠...

19th C fears of smallpox+other diseases in rapidly developing colonies. Quarantine stations temporarily confined crew+passengers upon arrival in Australia.
Islands were a preferable location.

Perhaps chemist vaccinations sound like a great idea - reach as many as possible in shortest time BUT
1. Appointments or walk-in + walk-out?
2. Chemists liable for patient reactions?
3. Strictly for local areas?
4. Record? Forwarded to own GP?

It's Greg Hunt who really disappoints...Started out so popular on the Mornington Peninsula...We, on the Mornington Peninsula, thought he was different...He's been in the House of Reps since 2001, representing Flinders here...We thought he sensed the people...

But the political party juggernaut has reeled him in...He's another party puppet keen on staying a party puppet in the current federal liberal government...

The signs were there in 2014, when he was Environment Minister...He toted Adani coal mines as not a threat to the Barrier Reef...We murmured and mumbled, with a few outbursts of money v. environment, but the incident seemed to fade away...And now he is Health Minister...But Greg is trained in Law...His only credentials for the health portfolio - his mother was a nurse and his wife is a nurse...Hmmmm...

Was in a good mood until I read Fraudenberg, Khunt and ScoMo’s latest press release undermining Victoria’s public health message again...
