I loved working with Chris on The Insider, he was just impressive. It was a travesty that his role didn’t receive an Academy Award nomination because everyone talked about and knew that it was amongst the handful of truly formidable performances that year.

I've read that Christopher Plummer was quite the pianist. Has anybody witnessed him playing? He was famous for entertaining the SoM cast at piano evenings while in a hotel in Salzburg.

And I went out to yonder gumtree hills to see Old Amos.
He was there, sitting in the shade of the apple tree.

I said, "she's a bit steamy Amos."

He looked at the hazy sun-lit hills and dug a thumb into his right wrist, "not real fond of fuckin February boy."
