I've never been comfortable with a celebration of me in the limelight... birthday or any other reason... It doesn't seem right, somehow... Re birthday, I prefer to simply do something different...go somewhere new...maybe experience something new out of my comfort zone...Progress?

celebration/birthday thoughts...
Uluru has RAIN...
Uluru has RAIN! More rainfall in the last 24 hours than over a total of seven months!

Bernadette Fedec: 'That would mean the creek by the sacred birthing place would be full! How spiritual it would be. Uluru is being cleansed.'https://t.co/Z6sOBtEUun pic.twitter.com/EFaoYujvJE
open lockdown window...
An open lockdown window... I've checked the official map... I have never seen a 25km radius look so good. The world is at my feet, and it's time to start driving and walking this weekend. (5km radius was unbelievably limited...unless one enjoyed walking in the sea...) pic.twitter.com/cTwwqymGIX

I can't believe how excited I am... So tempted to get out this afternoon - after work... But no...I'll keep the reward for the weekend...an early start... Now all I have to do is ensure my panic attacks don't start...They've been a challenge even while grocery shopping...

humanising nature legally...
So often, in our writing, we personify the sea, trees, in fact, so much of Mother Nature's offspring...To give legal recognition to the 'feelings' of these precious beings can only be a step toward respecting them more... True? https://t.co/CAI7XqCy6u pic.twitter.com/KpwbmqSS1u

the hope of new little birds...
Chaplain's news in school newsletter - 'Last week, my husband was cutting some of our hedges with an electric hedge trimmer. As he was just about to shave down the side of one of the bushes, he noticed a tiny little nest with three birds; so new they were virtually translucent.' pic.twitter.com/Wl9VyzEXg8

'Each day, we have gone out to check on them, praying that the cat next door would not discover them as we had! We were astounded at how quickly they grew feathers and matured.' pic.twitter.com/GAzO6gC4AO

Yesterday, as I was about to leave home, one was standing at the edge of the nest, the other two safely tucked up against each other. Yet, by the end of the day when I checked on them again, there was nothing but an empty nest.

Our little birds had left and were out in the world. Sometimes, I find hope in these symbols of nature... The striking array of plants and flowers in a triumph of colour reminds me, as did our little interaction with those birds, of the hope in the cycles of the seasons.
