Twitter as a learning place...

When I first came to this site, I was (still am) a high school teacher+an older Mum up to the grandchildren saga. 12 years on, still a teacher, (maybe retiring),+still learning. People like you have extended my awareness outside my formal learning. That's worth acknowledging.

Yes...Cockatoos are very fond of 'plucking' cacti...Mine have been steadily demolished...But now I have discovered that they are fond of the tops of geraniums too...

Naughty b*ggers. I had a beautiful lily out there once. Came home and saw a cockatoo had bitten all the flowers stems off, with one flower and stem still in his mouth, like a tango dancer.
