PASSING THOUGHT: A memory...Teenage student with apparent learning challenges...autistic...rarely spoke...We studied WWII...He seemed intrigued...constantly wide-eyed...Gave students a creative challenge...haiku on war...The student wrote 10 'wow' haiku...Anything is possible...

UPDATE: And now, 30.7, 4.2 earthquake in Los Angeles
2km from San Fernando, California.
A magnitude 4.2 earthquake was reported Thursday morning at 4:29 a.m. Pacific time in San Fernando, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred less than a mile from Los Angeles at a depth of 5.6 miles. In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centred nearby.
