Another surprise Melbourne-based icon...

First the Vegemite and now the Kiwi shoe polish...
It seems that Melbourne has long been a trendsetter of sorts...The legend kind... https://t.co/wvEKmQ7Tki
Connecting moments in my peninsula world, my Australia and beyond...Whatever speaks to my thalassophile soul in these tidal days...

Kiwi shoe polish...
Nicobar Pigeon...
Unbelievable, that while this Nicobari Pigeon is so colourful + mostly a ground-dwelling bird, (forest floor mainly), still it is difficult to see.

Some believe it may be the closest living relative of the extinct dodo bird... https://t.co/XT41UFAIUB
Many websites refer to this pigeon as the 'Nicobar' pigeon. Some say "Nicobari'.

my own home?...
PASSING THOUGHT: Don't dwell on the past - owning a Sydney home + venturing to a large property in Tasmania. All gone. Here and now, on the verge of retirement, daring to dream again. Possible to have my own home again? Just a small one? No one to take it from me? Keep walking...

NOTE: This is not the 1st time I have shared a dream or sought assistance from the universe...But only when I feel I simply cannot find my own way clearly...
I believe in the power of the universal spirit...I am open to answers...

Painted Desert...
Love the name Painted Desert...a name symbolising rocky outcrops of large + small hills rising from a flat desert landscape... https://t.co/teysVx7ItA

stand by my little furball...
I too am so grateful for my little furball. She has stood by me for 15, nearly 16 years. She was a stray and walked in. In recent years, my life has been stalked by tragedies, but my little girl has stood by me, loved me. Recent vet visits indicate I must stand closely by her.
