Our 45 minute celebratory event will go live on Youtube at 12.30pm.
This fast-paced, highly visual celebration is designed to engage the nation in the value of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' first languages.
ILF Ambassadors, Jessica Mauboy will sing an Australian favourite and Anita Heiss, Andy Griffiths, Alison Lester, Shelley Ware and ILF co-Patron June Oscar AO will be joined by kids and community members - from Tiwi Islands and Jilkminggan in the Northern Territory and Bidyadanga in Western Australia - sharing delightful stories and the value of language.

T-Shirts - blue - 'Reading Opens Doors' - worn by teachers
Language - represented in books...Many children begin school knowing up to 6 languages...
Books - becoming a bridge between languages...Children encouraged to contribute...
