Connecting moments in my peninsula world, my Australia and beyond...Whatever speaks to my thalassophile soul in these tidal days...

I will never tire of watching the art of the sea unfold...These are waves tumbling into Dromana beach this morning...
a walk by the sea...
NOTE: While the sea is not visible in the image, it is very close by (to the right). I'm walking the beautiful foreshore trail in Dromana where some parts are bushy and winding and some parts open up to a full vista of Port Phillip Bay. A beautiful place, any season, any weather.a walk by the sea— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 31, 2020

I saw many people walking or riding a bike by the sea in Dromana this morning... I don't think a single person (including children) passed me by without a friendly, smiling greeting...who could possibly feel lonely...
fresh green...
So good getting out and about on this stunning, wintry but sunny Sunday morning... a stroll by the sea was on the agenda...and, as always, the sea did not disappoint, nor did the nearby foreshore trail...I saw this little green wonder bursting out of a tree stump...They weren't of the same genus, but they adapted to one another... quite well...fresh green— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 31, 2020

Somehow, the outrage and fear boiling over in the world, seems to have no borders... geographical distance does not lessen the pain and hurt... not at all...empathy— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 30, 2020

My day begins, hoping to sort through some discordant, sad feelings and give them a positive shape... I'm going to start with washing my hair...and then going out in my world by the sea...morning skies— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 30, 2020

universal scream...
I feel there is a desperate cry out there in the world at the moment... Some voice the cry...others hold it in and weep helpless tears... It feels as if there is a political and social madness with no hope of clear direction...But there is still culture, there is still environmental empathy...waiting quietly to light the way... Soon that light will be noticed...and we will follow...universal scream— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 30, 2020

a little gardening...
This was me after a hectic day of online remote learning...My head was spinning...I couldn't face another email or marking for at least 24 hours... It was so lovely, in the autumn late afternoon sun, to do a little weeding followed by a quiet wine...a little gardening then— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 29, 2020
