Love the recently completed mural on the sidewall of Bendigo Bank in Dromana...

Always difficult to photograph because of carpark cars blocking the view or sunlight blaring at the lens...
Today, I tried to capture some of it from Dromana foreshore...
Adore the happy colours... pic.twitter.com/KUHOVXu90o
Connecting moments in my peninsula world, my Australia and beyond...Whatever speaks to my thalassophile soul in these tidal days...

Dromana community masked up...
Today, deliberately, I decided to break routine, (early Saturday morning shopping),+braved Dromana's midday crowd...Will I still see a masked community? No difference...Right from the carpark...(This is the 1st person I saw)...We're all masked up+trying to keep our world safe... pic.twitter.com/tg7M1qunkn

Signs right at the entrance...one being the offer of a complimentary mask @ service desk (if you forget to wear one)...
And right nearby, a staff member is cleaning baskets or trolleys...
This practice has lasted the entire pandemic since first mandated... pic.twitter.com/QawVDdsMWa
the power of suggestion...
For the moment, I am rather liking DoPe...Easily pronounced in one burst...It has a 'target' ring to it...But I'll keep alert for improvement...

numbers I don't want to see...
I don't want to see these numbers, but, just like being drawn into a horror movie, there is that inexplicable feeling of 'I just want to know'...I MUST know...Reported yesterday: 1,965 new local cases and 0 cases acquired overseas.

speak up...
PASSING THOUGHT: Twitter has taught me HOW to speak up. Usually I THINK but rarely STATE an opinion- esp in a public forum. (I know = boring person?). But I'm improving both here and out there in wild reality. Lockdown has provided a surprising opportunity for personal progress. pic.twitter.com/uRZJdF0Klt

dissolving mask conflict...
Brisbane shopping centre. Qcode at entry, Newsagent, chemist then Coles. Spent 5 minutes walking up and down the aisles. Shared a joke with one man. Penny drops. God, I forgot to put on my mask! I would have been so grateful if someone had told me to mask up.

I switch aisles then walk towards them, & right before walking near them fake sneeze (with mask on of course) the biggest I can manage!

The looks are hilarious, especially when you make direct eye contact, & the about face, walking the other way are an absolute crack up!π€£π pic.twitter.com/TrfiR2tlxI
I shouldn't laugh...I really shouldn't laugh...The situation could be serious in more ways than one...BUT what a creative way to dissolve conflict...Rock that gas...

After reading all these responses, my little IGA in Dromana is looking like a saint...Staff + customers (right from the carpark) all masked up + sign-in used - manual+QR code...Not an issue...I think I should be very grateful...π
