Kookaburras sense change. They also sense people. If you're lucky, and they live close by, you may feel part of their family. I do.Old Amos is right. 1 of many stories. Some years ago, I moved from mountain top to partway down the mountain. On one packing day, 2 kookaburras flew either side of my homebound car. After moving, kookaburras appeared. It is now more than a year since my life took a tragic turn. I feel the kookaburras check on me. I can be sitting here at my computer and happen to look out the window. There, on the verandah railing, quite regularly, is a kookaburra watching me...and stays there awhile...
