Connecting moments in my peninsula world, my Australia and beyond...Whatever speaks to my thalassophile soul in these tidal days...
In many lions, there could just be a soft toy longing for the warmth of a caring cuddle... https://t.co/EBTwBCLJ0H

There are moments in life when what appears to be ordinary reality is secretly the treasure cave of a child's wonder... https://t.co/I1yTkSGYaD

Even when life seems so much like an unwelcome straitjacket, it is good to know that there can be an injection of wry humour for relief...

Or fortune based on luck
But give it walks with trees
Deep breaths of country air
The thrill of grass rimmed ponds
The peace of open space
The joy of Nature bonds https://t.co/iAwr75oASm

My love affair with Leunig's cartoons is endless...our patched balloon— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 15, 2020
we must accept that
our spirit of freedom is
soon prey to
the winds of chance#thurds soon #tanka #MayTanka #NaTankaMo #5lines https://t.co/J1ypDaznmf
P.S. I have also found Leunig's cartoons a great source for helping secondary students recognise, and form an understanding of, satire...Always have loved Leunig... especially his earlier cartoons...aaah Mr Curly and that inimitable duck... But the cartoon below must be high on my list of favourites... It is jaunty, devil-may-care and so very simply uplifting... https://t.co/ez8iQ7pbve— Gemma Wiseman (@AuraGem) May 14, 2020
